the ojai stopover & the subversiveness of modern art

As we were driving home last week from SLO, we made a quick stopover at the quaint mountain town of Ojai, California… where I finally got to visit the most wondrous open air bookstore… Bart’s Books.

Last Thursday, we trekked via the Metro Gold Line because we had tickets to The Broad… a museum of contemporary modern art that is pretty much Insta-famous. It was amazing to see Warhols, Lichtensteins and Krugers in person… so much that I included a brief overview of their galleries on my second vlog… definitely a must see if you are ever in Los Angeles. Yayoi Kusuma’s Infinity Mirrored Room by itself is worth the trip. We also stopped by MOCA Grand because they had free admission on Thursdays from 5pm to 8pm, thus more contemporary art fix.
